The course "Electrotechnics and Automation" is addressed to all those who have the following requirements: 

• age between 15-18 years
• who have finished compulsory school
• who have good basic knowledge in various disciplines
• predisposition for continuous deepening of technical aspects
• predisposition for autonomy in organizing work and working in groups.

Until a few years ago, the activity related to the electrician in a single professional figure, without the need for special specializations. Now many electrotechnical activities have been transformed to meet an increasingly massive demand for personnel who can demonstrate specialized skills in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, information technology and automation.

 In the addresses of the electrical-electronic sector, the training will have an emphasis on the ability to address problems in terms of systems, based on essential and up-to-date knowledge of electrical disciplines, complemented by organic scientific technological preparation and the ability to the progress of business realities.

For these realities, as a technician for Electrical Engineering and Automation, within your operational level, you will be prepared to: participate, with a personal and responsible contribution, in organized and group work; perform tasks independently, organize independently; plan and control production by managing cost analysis and estimation; document and communicate and adequately the technical, organizational and economic aspects of one's work; interpret the problems of production, management and trade of the enterprise in which it operates in their entirety; update your knowledge, also for the purpose of any work activity conversion.

The electrical engineering and automation technician must be able to:

• design (with dedicated software) and realize civil and industrial plants
• test simple and complete electrical systems
• to design and dimension low voltage electrical panels
• evaluating, also from the economic point of view
• components and tools in the market
• use and test electric machines (transformers, asynchronous motors, alternators, etc.)
• analyze and build and dimension automated systems for industries managed in programmable logic (PLC) oversee automation systems
• acquire data and control devices using a personal computer
• understand user manuals
• various technical documents and compile short reports of work performed
• even in a foreign language.
• The degree of Technician for Electrical Engineering and Automation allows career opportunities  such as: 
• entering a university faculty, in particular technical-scientific
• introduction to the enterprise environment in one of the following sectors: production, plant engineering, quality control, installation and technical assistance, design, procurement, introduction to security services enterprises, independent profession and the possibility of technical-practical teaching in a vocational school.
